DEVELOPING EXCELLENCE IN NATURE-BASED EDUCATION
Developing excellence in nature-based education is essential for fostering a deep connection between individuals and the natural world, promoting environmental stewardship, and providing holistic learning experiences. Nature-based education encourages students to engage with the environment, promoting physical, emotional, and intellectual development while developing an affinity and love for the natural world.
Nature-based education has been embraced by educators, environmentalists, and health professionals for its numerous benefits. It can be applied in formal education, as well as in informal settings like nature centres, holiday programmes and outdoor adventure programs.
However, barriers to access still remain due to a lack of confidence and understanding about creating sustainable outdoor programmes that provide lasting change and long term results. Danny's aim is to apply his expertise in facilitation, consultancy and training to remove theses barriers, ensuring the wholesome benefits of nature-based education are accessible to all.

Outdoor Education covers a wide range of disciplines, it can often be overwhelming to know which path to choose. Danny has over 20 years experience across a range of educational approaches within Outdoor Education and in different sectors. He has specialist knowledge in Nature-based education including Forest School, Curriculum Linked Learning, Woodland Based Outdoor Learning, Storytelling, Value Based Learning, Wellbeing in Nature and Nature Connection.
